Only 2,000 bottles of this top selection of the best Vernaccia and Sauvignon Blanc (10%) grapes are made each year. It is then left to ferment for one lunar month in small oak casks to deliver an intense power, complexity and depth.
And just when you thought we would never find another Tuscan "Ripasso". This style is making a comeback to Tuscany after a 100 year break ! This makes the wine fruitier and more full bodied. Bring out the beef for this or just sit back and relax.
The first thing that hit me with this wine was Bananas ! Nice fruity taste that didn’t overpower me.
This one was surprisingly lite. I am normally not a huge Barbera fan as they tend t0 have very heavy tannins, but this entry keeps it easy coming from a steel tank.
