Holiday Fever

The beaches of Spain of the South of France? It looks like we may even have a choice of destinations this summer. But no matter what, IWCoK has you covered on both beaches with our Holiday Fever, welcome to sunshine box.

A first stop in Provence – works for us. We have a lovely French Vermentino (Rolle in local speak) from those rolling hills of lavender that is sure to get you going. Something more exotic ? How about a Spanish honey melon blend that will be your summer aperitif! We took our whites this month from both countries, to route your taste buds from Provence, through Bordeaux and finally into the Spanish hillside. Enjoy the sunshine.

Our reds are a pure Spanish affair, but with a twist.  We took our selection this month from lesser-known regions in the north West and the East Coast. A mix of deep, heavy dark purple wines you are used to from Spain, but also a light, fruity “lunch” wine that may remind you of a French Gamay. All in all, you are ready for the beach picnic and the big sit-down Saturday night grill.

So celebrate our new vaccinated freedom and experience those summer holiday destinations that we have soo missed (at least in a bottle in our quarantine).

Deep purple, hearty red ready for a long (meaty) dinner. Mencia has similar characteristics to Cabernet Franc, so look for a bit fruity end with a short, dry finish.
