Box: November 2020

Give Me Light

When the world around us is getting us down, we decided to keep things light this month with a variety of fabulous wines with a low alcohol content. Light and refreshing to keep you at your best going into the holidays!

What better way to start off with a Vinho Verde. The slightly effervescent wine is perfect for lunch, when you don’t need a cloudy head for the afternoon activities. For something with a little more body, try the cuvee from the south of France full of exotic fruits and citrus. And moving on to a little more serious, the Sauvignon blanc and Veltiner this months will both provide a lovely balance of flavor and depth and both at 12%.

We start our reds with an Italian blend from the sunny seaside . You will recognize the “Luccarelli Look”of this wine as this winemaker is no stranger to IWCoK. Then we go for a medium bodied Syrah before going all in with a big, bold Primitivo all wrapped up in a Californian coat called Zinfandel. To round off the night, we got for a classic Spanish crianza. A full bodied Tempranillo with a huge splash of red fruits that will be crying out for you to put a steak on the grill. Not exactly a low alco entry, but we figured after the whites, you may need a heavy hitter to clean things out.

Whether you stay “white and light”or go “Red and Heavy”, our November box will help keep your outlook on life light and bright.
