Christmas dinner with a gift

On  Wednesday, December 10, we held a real Christmas dinner for IWCoK members. And even though December is a real busy month for everybody, we still managed to pack the house.

Who could resist the excellent French wine, a great flank steak (vegetarians got something that looked way too healthy instead) and the wonderful company that an IWCoK event always brings. This was the fist time we held an event at restaurant Stejkárna in Ville Schwaiger in Prague 6. And it came with a perfect wine cellar for the 25 of us.

Menu: 

Beef Tartare
& WELCOME DRINK
Marinated sea bass in lemon and lime juice with crisp toast
& Of Pouilly Fumé Champeau
Skewers on lettuce salad
& Côtes du Rhône “Portes du Castelas”
Flap steak with ratatouille and porcini sauce
& Côtes du Rhône Village Rouge “Jas des Belles”
Selection of French cheeses
& CHATEAU LES GLYVINES Minervois AOC 2009

We tried 5 wines throughout dinner and all were supplied by our friends at Chez Greg Père & Fils, who were the same guys that fed your Christmas table and our December box. The cellar, open fire, great food and drink all made for a great pre-christmas “relax”. Check out the pics and make sure to join us next time.
