August is IT

Summer came, and summer is gone. Hope you all got the chance to get a break.
The IWCoK team was of course BUSY searching out new wines and locations that we can bring to your table, and a hint of what you can expect for the fall is already included here.
Our whites are a mix of your summer outdoor eating expectations (vinho verde, pinot grigio) and some lesser known Tuscan and Spanish varieties that are light enough for the finals days of summer, but complex enough to pair with what every you may be cooking up this fall.
The reds span an area starting in the Douro of Portugal (big and heavy) then travels east through Spain, France and ends up on the shore of lake Garda for something all the more unusual . A general TIP for these end of summer reds is drink them at the right temperature, and let them breath. A little planning will do thee wines a wonder.
Hope you all charged your batteries this summer at the beach, in the mountains or just hanging out in a café watching the world walk by. We did and are ready for lots of wine this fall.

Honey, citrus and then some more honey. A classic verdicchio that should not be underestimated. Will go well with Asian or spicy foods given its long, semi sweet finish and pronounced acidity.
