A Tuscan Holiday Feeling

A summer holiday in Italy is a staple for many of us. And on the list of destinations, we visit is certainly a pass through the rolling hills of Tuscany and its’ capital Florence. Get ready for a virtual visit this month of the finest grapes of the region.

What makes this region special ? It is something that has driven wine making here dating back to the 8^th century and produced some of Italy’s most well-known wines (Chianti and Brunello). It is the Italian “workhorse” grape of Sangiovese. Known to be adaptable to conditions of the area it is grown, and a long growing season, it varies dramatically depending on the soil, conservation, and production technic. Warm, fruity and tannic to light and acidic, you can find it all. My tip (ok , personal opinion) : The best pizza wine made anywhere.

We also have a surprise this month in a rose that I am sure (most) of you will love. Light, fruity, low in alcohol – serve well chilled and you are set for a romantic dinner anywhere.

Whites ? Yep, we got a few including a must have Pinot Grigio and (of course) one made from Sangiovese 😉
