First club event

I hate to say it but, “I told you so” ! Last nights first ever IWCoK tasting was a swinging bash.
So what did you miss ?
- 6 wines from Baglio di Pianetto served by none other than the distinguished Dario Rinaldi. Dario is the face man for this superb Sicilian winery, and he took us on a tour-de-force. White, red, smooth, heavy, fresh, complex – WE DID IT ALL (and from what my body told me this morning, we did A LOT of each)
- A great dinner prepared by renowned Bologna (and Michelin awarded) chef Marco Fadiga. When not cooking in his restaurant back in Italy, Marco makes some special guest appearances here in Prague. We lucked out. He was in town and cooked for us! Risotto to die for.
- Tips from expert sommelier Jakub Pribyl. Jakub trained in the most prestigios wine schools in Europe and has finished in the top ranks of the CZ sommelier competions for the past 100 years. OK, he’s not that old but the point is, he knows his stuff.
- Fresh, home made ricotta cheese. This was probably the first time in history that traditional Sicilian ricotta was made from scratch in Prague! 600 L of fresh bio milk went into a BIG kotlik at 08:00 in the morning, and what came out was gooooood.
- A fantastic host. Wine Food Market was Party Central last night. Once again thanks to Jiri and his team for making it a great event.
- And of course, 19 fantastic IWCoK friends all having a great time !
Don’t worry if you missed it. This will be the first of many.
