One thing that you may notice in these Merlots, is that the tannin is a bit sweet. This gives you a fruity sensation in the mouth and a slightly acidic finish. This is a wine that needs to breath at least 30 minutes prior to drinking (or decant) and should be drank with "real" food. No carrots and cheese plate here, you're going to need a steak or "gulas burrito" (kind of a local specialty).
