Mike's Tip
Did you know that Palava is a cross of Tramin and Mueller Thurgau ? This is a very full bodied wine that combines a higher amount of acidity and sugar that will last in your cellar for years to come. If you are looking for a wine that will go well with spicy food, or something that is guaranteed to please even a novice wine drinker at the table, Palava's sweetness is the right choice. A deep golden color that will hit you with strong apricot and honey tones.
Arte Vivi VZ 2015
Wine description:
- Country: Czech Republic
- Grape: Grüner Veltliner
- Alcohol: 13,5%
- Style: Medium-bodied dry white wine
- Drink: Wine with potencial 2 to 5 years
- Supplier: Arte Vini
- Box: Near and Far
- Price: 249 Kč
Mike's Tip
Every bit as good as the Veltins' from Austria, this is a great balance of fruit and spice. Be it the melon at the start of that green, grassy, spicy finish, this will be a great "knife" to a fish dish. Try it with salmon or other oily fish as the wine will not be over powered. Clean and refreshing, this one is a real pick-me-up.
Arte Vini CH 2014
Wine description:
- Country: Czech Republic
- Grape: Chardonnay
- Alcohol: 12,5%
- Style: Medium-bodied dry white wine
- Drink: Wine with potencial 2 to 5 years
- Supplier: Arte Vini
- Box: Near and Far
- Price: 249 Kč
Mike's Tip
As you are all by now chardonnay experts, you will easily find a full and buttery taste here that stays on your pallet for a long time. With a touch of minerals on the finish, this chardonnay finds a nice middle ground. Try it with a light curry or some chicken tikka masala. Trust me- it works just fine ;-)
